Lufthansa Technik Supports Civilian Drone Industry
The Yuneec H520 is one of the first ever multicopters to be compatible with the new Health Condition Monitoring (HCM) service provided by SafeDrone by Lufthansa Technik, which can check the technical condition of a drone after each completed mission. This will in future allow users of the H520 to check the condition of their hexacopter at any time.
In addition to the Yuneec maintenance and safety features, H520 pilots will also be able to use the HCM platform and its data-driven analyses to monitor flight-critical components, such as the copter’s batteries, flight controller, motors and propellers. If a defect occurs, the platform not only displays it in detail to the user, but also provides a maintenance recommendation without the need for any further sensor technology.
Yuneec H520 is a hexacopter that has been developed for commercial use. The sUAS is the perfect solution for long flight times and a proven and robust technology in an all-in-one package. The H520 is built for inspection, law enforcement, security, construction, surveying, and mapping applications in addition to offering cinematic or broadcast-ready imaging payload systems.

H520 pilots will be able to use the SafeDrone HCM platform by Lufthansa Technik from the end of October. The flight and sensor data required for error analysis are read by the flight controller and transmitted in a standardised format to the HCM platform.
Only German servers are used for the data analysis and storage.
