Today is the opening of UMEX , the International Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference which takes place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from the 25 to 27 February 2018. This event is a unique opportunity for National and International Defense Companies to showcase latest innovations and development of unmanned military equipment from the land, aerospace and maritime areas.
The International Unmanned Systems exhibition UMEX, is being organised under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
With its central location in the Middle East, UMEX event will attract a large numbers of national and international visitors from the region but also from all over the world. The UAV market was valued at USD 18.14 Billion in 2017 and is projected to reach USD 52.30 Billion by 2025, at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 14.15% from 2018 to 2025.

According to Brigadier General Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, chairman of the higher organising committee of Umex and SimTex 2018, the edition 2018 of UMEX is more bigger than the previous edition, and 34 countries participate in the event, with an increase from 91 exhibitors in 2016 to 122 exhibitors in 2018.
