Explore Mexico by Drone in 4K with Award-Winning Videographer Tarsicio Sañudo

Sumidero Canyon, an incredible natural wonder with vertiginous walls as high as 1,000m at points, is one of Mexico’s greatest attractions. Captured here by award-winning Mexican drone videographer Tarsicio Sañudo, it is a sight to behold. Sañudo, whose skill in creating awe-inspiring sequences has seen him awarded Audience Choice two years running at the New York City Film Festival, has created a number of sequences of his home country, some of which we’ve selected here for you.

A prolific drone video creator, he has also had short drone films shown at the InterDrone Film Festival and London Drone Film Festival. Having recently been selected to have his latest creation shown at the 2018 New York City Drone Film Festival in not one but two film categories – Landscape and Architecture, as well as Dronie – we can’t help but think he may be in the running for an award yet again. The NYCDFF is in its fourth year running this weekend, March 3 & 4 2018, so get to know Sañudo first here.

Cañon Del Sumidero

Located just north of Chiapa de Corzo in southern Mexico, this canyon is as old as the Grand Canyon in the United States.

Oaxaca

Beautiful Oaxaca, recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is known for it’s pastiche of architecture, representing pre-Hispanic, colonial, modern and contemporary periods of Mexican history.

Hierve el Agua

The name of this incredible rock formation found in the state of Oaxaca literally means “water boils”. Hierve el Agua is considered one of only two “petrified” waterfalls in the world, formed by the running of mineral depsits over rocks in much the same way as stalactites found in caves.

“El Borde” Tijuana

Sañudo brings you “The Edge” of Tijuana, that is its amazingly gorgeous coastline, along with its people, its street art and its stadium.

México Natural

Lastly, a mesmerising sequence of some of Mexico’s most stunning natural wonders: hidden beaches and waterfalls, monoliths, whale sanctuaries, islands and seashores.
