The European Emergency Number Association (EENA) has announced that registration is now open for the first ever Drones & Public Safety Summit – and entrance is totally free of charge.
The benefits that drones can bring to society are more and more apparent, especially in areas such as humanitarian or disaster response, and search and rescue (SAR).
Recently, one particularly successful incident in Iceland resulting in the rescue of two tourists with a drone, prompted EENA and DJI partner together in order to develop a European drone emergency framework.
Now, in order to keep the conversation going on how drones can be an integral part of crisis response and SAR, EENA invites all interested parties to attend the full day session in Brussels, Belgium on September 20, 2018.
Topics for discussion will involve:
The intention of the summit is to continue transforming and improving the ways drones are used in emergency response, as well as bringing together professionals in this space.
At EENA 2018 last month, Romeo Durscher, Director of Public Safety Integration at DJI, discussed how drones are changing public safety chaired by Ed Parsons, Geospatial Technologist, Google. Alfonso Zamarro (Drones Activities Manager, EENA), Tomas Gislason (Deputy CEO, 112 Iceland) and Steve McLinden (Transformation2020 Digital Project Manager, Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, UK) also sat on the panel.
Parties interested in attending to meet emergency responders, drone manufacturers, tech specialists, software providers, European decision makers, international experts, and more can visit EENA’s Drones & Public Safety Summit registration page.
