First European Drone Summit in Frankfurt Dedicated to Future of Drones
From 16 – 18 October 2018, Frankfurt is turning into the most important industry gathering in Europe. Drone Manufacturers as well as companies regarding drone inspection and drone surveying are gathering in Frankfurt to present their innovations and newest products. Visitors get the chance to gaze into the future of commercial and civil drones.
Commercial drones are not just a smart, young technology, but a relevant component of the digitization of the economy and society. Now, the first European Drone Summit has been announced, which will include member states of the EU working together to regulate the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in order to meet their economic potential and safety requirements.
The need for discussion is apparent, and needs consideration from many different perspectives, the organisers say. In order to support this process and to bring relevant stakeholders together for the exchange, this inaugural launch of the Summit will take place on 15 October 2018 in Frankfurt / Main. An initiative of the UAV DACH eV, and Interaerial Solutions, part of Intergeo.
The UAV DACH eV is the largest and most experienced German-speaking association for unmanned aviation in Europe, representing the interests of members a wide range of professions including commercial, research, and manufacturing from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Commercial drones are used in many industries, from surveying forest stands and properties, inspections of agricultural, industrial and especially facilities in the energy sector. Other important application is the use of professional drones for disaster control.
In the future drones wants be included in even more aspects of life and therefore a focus of a very promising market with great growth potential.
The program is designed by the experts of the UAV DACH and sheds light on the legal aspects, technological issues and various areas of application.
On the eve of the largest commercial drone fair in Europe, leading representatives from politics, industry and user groups will meet to listen to top-class experts including Peter van Blyenburgh of UVSI, Jules Kneepkens of EASA, Martin Brandenburg of DJI, Dr. Andreas Lamprecht of AIRMAP and Dr. Jörg Seebach of DeDrone.
It is the first platform for the entire drones industry, bringing together users, legislators and technology professionals to share relevant content and future ideas. Experts from politics, industry and user groups will be able to meet and discuss solutions for secure, commercial unmanned aviation in Europe.
The aim of the European Drone Summit is first and foremost to channel ideas and decisions about unmanned aviation to consider how UAV technology can be used by across a variety of industries today and in the future, with a focus on economic benefits and safety.
