Yuneec Presents Mantis Q: The Travel Drone with Voice Command

Yuneec has unveiled the new Mantis Q, a compact and robust travel drone whose capabilities go far beyond capturing beautiful moments in 4K images and video with exceptional quality.

This takes travel photography to whole new level – fun is guaranteed with Mantis Q.

This device is equipped with innovative voice control, a very fast Sport mode, a long flight range, automatic flight modes, practical visual recognition and integrated Social Sharing function.

Conceived as a simple travel companion to take with you anywhere, this drone is ideal for outdoor activity fans, gadget fans and pure adrenaline lovers.

Mantis Q is the first drone equipped with a Yuneec camera that can be intuitively controlled by voice. Whether to take off, land, take photos or make videos, the small quadcopter reacts to the voice command. In addition, Mantis Q has visual recognition, which makes it perfect for making fantastic selfies and videos.

Thanks to its energy efficient design, this handy quadcopter can fly for 33 minutes, giving its riders a lot of time to make great video clips and photos.

When folded, Mantis Q measures just 168 x 96 x 58 mm and weighs less than 500 g. It is therefore the ideal companion for small and large adventures.

A fantastic sport mode allows the drone to fly fast. In this mode, Mantis Q reaches a speed of 72 km / h and flies like a real racing drone.

Meanwhile, the live image is shown on the smartphone connected to the remote control with a latency time of less than 200 ms.

The Mantis Q can take pictures and make videos thanks to the built-in video camera which, during the flight, can be tilted with the remote control up to 20 degrees upwards and 90 degrees downwards. Images are saved in the supplied Micro SD card with a resolution of 4800×2700 (16: 9) or 4160×3120 (4: 3) pixels in JPEG and / or DNG format, just like video recorded up to 4K.

These are also electronically stabilized on three live axes and through the system up to Full HD (1920×1080). Electronic image stabilization (EIS) is energy efficient, solid and free of fragile mechanisms. Mantis Q also features automatic flight modes such as Journey or Point of Interest for movie-quality flight shots.

The drone also has a practical Social Sharing function that allows the user to post photos and videos on social networks directly from the app.

Mantis Q is controlled by a supplied controller that transmits the video and command signals within a radius of up to 800 meters (Compliance CE, 1.5 km FCC). Since the drone is able to maintain its height and position independently, Mantis Q can be used in a simple and intuitive way even without preliminary knowledge.

It is also possible to limit the range of action of the drone by means of a virtual barrier. Thanks to the precise GPS and IPS ultrasonic sensors, Mantis Q can fly both indoors and outdoors.

In addition to the drone, the Mantis Q package includes a remote control, a rechargeable battery, replacement propellers and a triple charger and can be purchased for a retail price of 499 euros. As an alternative, Mantis Q X-Pack is also available.

This package, in addition to the drone and controller, includes three rechargeable batteries and two sets of replacement propellers and comes in a practical camera bag. The retail price of Mantis Q X-Pack is 599 euros. Both Mantis Q variants will be available soon on the market.
