Soaring above oceans, shorelines, mountain, fields, towns and snow are all in a day’s work for Karolis Janulis, aerial photographer from Klaipėda, Lithuania. Shooting from the air since 2015, he weaves his photographic magic with the bird’s eye view in mind. Flying a DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus quadcopter to capture his images, in 2016 he was shortlisted in the Sony World Photography Awards, (people category). With so much to choose from on his website (which is worth checking out in itself, utilising a novel “view from above” aesthetic) and 500px – we found it quite a task selecting our favourites for you!
