Commercial drone inspections are the order of the day for conducting inspection and analysis in a multitude of circumstances such as forestland properties, solar panels, stock pond health analysis and more.

Christopher Smith, a former NASA inspector and certified drone pilot who works with commercial drones, recommends the Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal highly.

Smith says the Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal helps Optimize Inspection operations in remote and difficult to access areas with efficacy. Smith says the Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal with thermal and visual aerial inspection capability, outperforms its contemporaries on several counts. It operates very safely too, he adds.

“The Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal drone is a perfect mix of agility, stability and reliability for aerial thermography,” said Chris.

As Chris explains, his choice of the Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal was due to its ease-of-use and ease of transportability in difficult and rugged environments. “The best feature of Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal is that you can obtain the desired information safely and quickly. The reduced time to achieve results and eliminate risks to human inspectors that are otherwise performing the same tasks is an enormous benefit to the workflow.” Chris says.

The Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal comes with a Start the Free Flight Thermal app and a new user friendly homepage that displays a pre-flight checklist and includes a Geofence feature for the user to create an altitude and distance perimeter for your drone.

Before take off the drone’s thermal camera can be mechanically oriented in three different positions, depending on the mission plan.  In the Fast mode it allows access to the intervention site rapidly. In Slow mode allows collection of qualitative information at a slower speed. With FreeFlight Thermal 3.0.0, provides live streaming and recording of both visual and thermal images.

The drone adapts its direction depending on the view selected.  The user can record a thermal time-lapse using the time-lapse mode, and also check the temperature of any area of the live feed. Transfer of data from the Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal to any smart device is simple and compatible across several software platforms. Exported thermal videos can be read with any player and can be easily converted to .mp4 format and the thermal photos to the .jpg format.

“My clients enjoy seeing me work with Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal and appreciate its ability to easily gather all the visual information they require,” says Chris. “From aerial imagery to thermal analysis, my clients realize the benefits of employing drone technology and have noticed that it saves time and also eliminates risks to human safety.”

Chris is certain that drones will in fact, become an indispensable exploration and inspection tool soon. “Drones are a valuable method of inspection and the future will integrate more of this technology. Too many aspects of the inspection services are unsafe, which is why an aerial option is almost priceless.”Chris says.
